After dating for a couple years, they were married Aug. 9, 2003, and purchased their first house in Yorkton to call home.
In May 2006, Amanda and Michael were blessed with their first daughter Haley. But Amanda, being from a big family, in January 2008 they were blessed with their second daughter Zoey to complete their family. Haley and Zoey were the mini-Amanda’s. They were never far away. Whether pinching perogies or hanging out at the lake. Amanda was always there to support, guide and teach the girls. She was extremely proud of her Ukrainian heritage. She taught and instilled in the girls from Ukrainian dance to making traditional dishes.
Amanda grew up alongside her nieces and nephews and was looked up as a big sister rather than an auntie.
Always there to be their number one fan. Didn’t matter where or when, time or place. She would show up to support and cheer the loudest.
Amanda was always welcoming for family, friends or neighbours. Whether it be a quick chat or over the top gathering. Amanda loved to spend time at the lake with her girls or out for a scouting adventure with Michael. As long as it didn’t involve wearing anything that messed her hair. To all that know her knew she was someone you could talk to, trust and be cheered on by. Amanda will be missed by everyone that ever met and knew her. Amanda took part and enjoyed ladies and mixed league curling and many fun bonspiels. Amanda took great pride working at the Yorkton District Nursing Home as a food service worker and then a dietary clerk.
Amanda had joy in being part of the Yorkton Kalyna Dance Club for 16 years.
