When I try to log in I receive an error that says “Too many IP addresses accessing one secure area!”

The membership area of the website is protected against link sharing (people sharing their username) as well as hackers who gain access to your account using your username. If a username is logged in from too many different locations or IP addresses, the system will temporarily block access to the site for that username. The system will eventually reset your IP address automatically. Please note that your username will continue to block access if it continues to be used to log in from too many locations. The best way to prevent this error is to not share your username and password and to have a strong password. If you believe your account has been compromised, it is also recommended you change your password under the Edit my Profile tab of the Subscriber Login area.

I have entered the wrong password too many times and am locked out of the site now.

As a safety precaution, the system will automatically lock people out after too many failed attempts at logging in. The system will reset itself after approximately 20 minutes at which time you will be able to try again.

Why can’t I log in to the Subscribers Login area?

In order to access the subscribers login area, you must first confirm your account by clicking on the email that was sent to you. Once you click on the link confirming your account, your username and temporary password will be provided to you to access your newspaper.

What if I have not received my confirmation email to access my paper?

If you haven’t received an email from us, check your Spam or Junk folder to see if it is located there.

I did receive an email but the confirmation link won’t work.

The confirmation link in the emails that were sent out have an expiry date on them. If you do not click on the link within a few days of receiving the email, it will expire and we will need to reissue you a new username. Please contact our office at 306-728-5448 or email your name to contact@melvilleadvance.com and we will set you up with your username again.

Can I change my password? What if I lost my password?

Once you are logged into the Subscriber Login area, you can change your password under the Edit My Profile tab. If you have lost your password, contact our office and we can issue a temporary one which you can use to log in and then change to what you would like.
