It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Cécile Flegel (née Sorin), on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, at the Moose Jaw Special Care Home, SK, at the age of 88.
She is predeceased by her husband August; parents, Jean Sorin and Marie-Thérèse (née Baudry); siblings, Florence Chartier, Lucille (FdlC), Émile, Jules and Yves; parents-in-law, August Daniel Flegel and Johanna (née Klein); and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Cécile is survived by her children: Jean-Paul (Sandra), Michael, Dominic (Deb), Gerard (Donna), Marie Kondzielewski (Martin), August Daniel, Mark (Wendy) and Loretta Beacham (Adam); 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul Sorin (M.Afr.) and Joseph Sorin; sisters-in-law, Norma Sorin, Anne Flegel (SMS) and Frances Flegel; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Cécile’s family extends their gratitude to staff at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina and at the Moose Jaw Special Care Home, whose compassionate care for Mom during her last months is greatly appreciated.
Arrangements are entrusted to Speers Funeral Chapel in Regina.
