Date of Birth: June 18, 1932

Date of Death: October 28, 2022

On the morning of Oct. 28, 2022 Howard Ryan Hudgin, always known as Ryan of Cupar, SK, passed away at the age of 90. Ryan was born of James Howard Hudgin and Frances Hudgin (Mouck) on June 18, 1932 and lived his entire life on the nearby farm, or in Cupar.
A lifelong bachelor, he was a high school graduate who labored on the family farm and in the local farming industry. Right up until his sudden death, Ryan pursued his many hobbies and interests with zeal. These included stamps, coins, vinyl records and many other items of historic memorabilia. He frequented garage sales and hated the thought of items that someone else could use going into the landfill. Family members were often hauling give away items back to the city. His greatest passion may have been electronics, especially in relation to music. He so enjoyed the evolution of this industry as it passed through the decades and he collected the results. His brilliant mind and memory was sharp to the end with an insatiable appetite for more information. Ryan generally had two or three television feeds and was always absorbing more knowledge on health, the environment, world events and technology. His knowledge and opinions were outstanding for a person of any age and his loss will be sorely missed.
Predeceased by his parents, mentioned above, Ryan was the youngest of 11 children. He is survived by his brother Garnet of Regina, SK and predeceased by siblings, Clarence, Reita, Earl, Eva, William, Neata, Mary, Roy and Lloyd. His surviving nieces and nephews include: Deborah Wright, Rhonda Parisian and Douglas and Donna Hudgin of Regina, Mark Williams and Darilyn Breski of Calgary, AB and Greg Wauson of San Diego, CA.
A cemetery memorial service date will be published in the spring of 2023 with a complete obituary. This will coincide with a lunch and farewell in Cupar, SK. You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence at the family’s online obituary at: www.MyAlternatives.ca
