Date of Birth: July 27, 1947

Date of Death: September 21, 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kathy Love on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, in
Melville, SK.
Predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Ron Love, in April 2020, Kathy is survived by her two children, Jennifer Love Green (son-in-law Byron Green and grandchildren Carter and Noah) and Scott Love (daughter-in-law Adria and grandchildren Brett and Brady), sister Charlotte, brothers Ray and Jim, and extended family.
Kathy was born and raised in Melville, attended nursing college after high school, and married Ron in 1967. They had many adventures and careers over the years that took them to beautiful locations in Western Canada, and their greatest adventure yet, which brought them back to Saskatchewan – being grandparents. Her four grandsons kept her on her toes and were her pride and joy to watch grow and reach milestones – she was all about making memories, which she did!
Kathy was a loving, strong, vibrant, artistic, determined, and compassionate person who touched the lives of so many people. Her smile, sparkling blue eyes and contagious laugh would light up a room. Her love of music began very early and was always a constant in her life. Whether it was singing in the church choir, community performances, going to the symphony, impromptu songs with friends, or just singing along to Il Divo or ABBA in the living room or on a road trip, there was always music. Her faith and love were so powerful while we had her here and will continue while on her soul journey and through those who were blessed to have her in their lives.
Thank you to our exceptional health care and support workers at St. Peter’s Hospital in Melville, especially Dr. E. and Kim Rutzki for the support and grace offered to our family during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Melville and District Community Foundation.
Due to current restrictions, a service for both Kathy and Ron will be held at the R.C.M.P. Columbarium in Regina, SK, at a later date. To leave a message for the family or to make a memorial donation, please visit matthewsfuneralhome.ca
