Cindy Lee Nelson (nee Clarkson) of Whitewood, SK, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, March 25, 2021, in the Moosomin hospital with her family by her side. She was 58 years of age.
Cindy was born on Aug. 3, 1962, to William (Bill) and Ann Clarkson in Medicine Hat, AB, where she attended school and lived most of her life until meeting Wes. They settled in Whitewood, where Cindy lived her life to the fullest with her children and grandson. Cindy decided to go back to work as a caregiver and gave her all at the Broadview and Grenfell care homes, working for Helping Hands.
Cindy leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Wesley Nelson; two daughters, Jennifer (Mark) and
Brandi (Mart); her son, Marc (Kendra); her grandson, Brayden; her mother, Ann Clarkson; her brother, Wayne Clarkson; mother- and father-in-law, Merele and Colleen Nelson; and many aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, William James Clarkson, in 2007.
Cindy will be deeply missed by everyone.
A private family graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the Whitewood Cemetery with the Rev. Sunny Lee officiating. Brandi Schile delivered the eulogy.
Arrangements were entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home, Whitewood.
