Robert (Bob, Bobby) Mathew Marinier was born Nov. 2, 1944 to Donat and Mary (Lenius) Marinier in Regina, SK.
He passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2019, at the Regina General Hospital with his children by his side.
Bob was predeceased by his parents; infant daughter, Kathryn; brother, Bill Marinier; and sister, Carol (Jack) Mathieson.
He is survived by his daughter, Keli (Aaron) Ziolkoski, with grandchildren, Tyson, Jack, and Blake; daughter, Kim (Ernie) Mason, with granddaughter, Autumn; son, Kyle (Lani) Marinier, with granddaughters Delaney, Brynn, and Ezra; daughter, Kara (James) MacGregor, with grandsons, Christopher, Scotty, and Connor; son, Kevin (Brenna) Marinier, with grandchildren, Liam and Brielle; sisters Angie Lenius; and Margaret (Ron) Bashnik, brother-in-law, Jack Mathieson; sister-in-law, Shirley Marinier; and lifelong friend, Dave Slater, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob cared deeply about his family, and always showed kindness to others.
He worked 30 years with the Department of Highways in Saskatoon, and in 2005, he moved closer to his sisters living in Fort Qu’Appelle, where he enjoyed his retirement years.
He loved working in his yard and often could be found sitting at his outdoor firepit with family and friends. Bob loved to talk and joke, always having a story to tell. Mostly though he talked of his children and grandchildren and how proud he was of all their accomplishments.
At Bob’s request, there will be no funeral held at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Salvation Army in memory of Bob.
