On January 26, 2019, at 4:15 a.m., Melfort RCMP responded to a stabbing in Melfort. Upon arrival police discovered that an adult male had been stabbed several times in his back and neck by another adult male.  The victim was taken to Melfort Union Hospital with multiple stab wounds to his back and injuries to his face. He was then transported to Royal University Hospital; his injuries are not considered life-threatening. It is alleged the suspect also assaulted an adult female that was also at the residence.

 The suspect, Triston Lundgren, a 22 yr. old male from the Melfort area, fled the scene before officers arrived and his whereabouts are currently unknown. Triston Lundgren is now wanted for a number of offences including Aggravated Assault, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, and break and enter in relation to this incident. Lundgren has ties all over Saskatchewan and usually transient.

Lundgren is described as 180 cms tall and weights approximately 77 kilograms.  He has brown hair and blue eyes.
