Douglas (Doug) Switzer, of Grenfell, SK, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018 at the age of 97.
He will be sadly missed by many people in his community.
He was the beloved father of Barry (Kathy) Switzer also of Grenfell, SK. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandson, Travis (Anne-Marie) Switzer of Morinville, AB; and his three great-grandchildren, Cole, Halle, and Keela, as well as his siblings, Loyd (June) Switzer of London, ON, Vernard (Doreen) Switzer of Grenfell, SK, Adele Swanson of Kitchener, ON, Marjorie Partridge of Qualicum, B.C., Maxine Hodgins of White Rock, B.C., Earl (Peggy) Switzer of Calgary, AB, and Don (Janet) Switzer of Mission Viejo, CA.
He was predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Lena; and his second wife of 18 years, Stella; his siblings, Harold, Robert (Bob); and Ross Switzer; his grandson, Jon Switzer; and great-granddaughter, Madison Switzer.
A funeral service was held at Grenfell Apostolic Church, 916 Garnet St. Grenfell, SK on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m.
