Alvin Carl Zorn of Melville, Sask., died on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021 at the age of 85 years.
Alvin was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Dorothea (Dech); brothers, Harold, Clarence, Ken and Glen. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Donna; daughter Sherry (Dean) Reeve; sons, Les (Linsey) and Shawn (Shelley); four grandchildren, Scott (Amy), Jordan (Kayla), RJ (Emily) and Sydney; one great-grandson, Bennett.
Alvin and Donna were married in 1961. In 1964 they bought their farm north of Oakshella and raised three children, Sherry, Les and Shawn. In 2000 they retired to Melville Beach on Crooked Lake where they enjoyed lake life until 2018 when they moved to Melville.
Alvin enjoyed curling, fishing and loved to watch his grandsons play hockey for their local teams. He enjoyed the great outdoors no matter what he was doing. Alvin was loved by neighbours and friends. If something needed to be repaired, Alvin would often say “I have something that will work” referring to an item he had in one of his sheds.
A small family gathering will be held at a later date.
