Doreen Eileen Schick (nee Schmidt) – beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully at the Regina Lutheran Home on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at the age of 91.
Doreen was born on May 9, 1930 on the family farm in Neudorf, SK. She was one of six children with two brothers and three sisters. She was raised in Melville, SK where she met the love of her life, Johnnie Schick. They were married on Nov. 10, 1952 and moved to Regina, SK to start their careers and raise their children.
Doreen will be lovingly remembered by her daughters – LonaRae (Armond) Gervais, ShanaLee (Tom) Hastings and Judith Spitznagel; five grandchildren – Mathew Sifton (Ashlyn), Mariah Horsnall (Chris), Alexandra Gervais (Paul), Brecklin Gervais (Marley), and Shaylin; her sisters – Joan (Allan) Isted and Joyce Dagley, brother Jim (Lorraine) Schmidt, and sister-in-law, Edna (Jim) Brock, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Doreen is predeceased by her parents, Ludwig (Louis) and Eva Schmidt; beloved husband, Johnnie Schick; brother, Lawrence Schmidt; and sister, Iris Schick.
Funeral Service: Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a private funeral held at Regina Funeral Home on Highway #1 East, Regina.
