The Carlyle RCMP would like to remind the public to be wary of scams seeking payment of money. In the last 24 hours there has been $10,000 lost to scams. These fraudsters may insist for your personal information e.g. social insurance number, banking, or they may insist you have warrant for your arrest if you do not pay a said amount. The fraudsters will request you pay the amount in Goggle play cards, bit coins, Visa gift cards, and may request to gain access to your bank account. You can protect yourself from fraudsters by recognizing the warning signs of their schemes, rejecting their attempts and reporting these suspicious activities to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501 or online at www.antifraudcentre.ca..
