Date of Birth: March 20, 1962

Date of Death: June 5, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Cynde Reid announces her passing on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at the young age of 57, after a courageous 15-month battle with cancer.
Throughout her journey, after being diagnosed with cancer, Cynde showed great strength and perseverance. She made every effort to beat this disease despite her pain and weakness. She was a trooper throughout it all.
Cynde was predeceased by her father, Ted Molnar.
She is survived by her mother, Martha Molnar; her loving husband of 31 years, Keith Reid; her children, Jennifer (Doug), Nathan (Stacey); and grandchildren, Logan, Kayden, Kayla and Dylan.
She also leaves to mourn: her brothers, Mark (Grace), Aaron, Jerry (Kim); also numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind numerous family, friends and co-workers.
Cynde was born in the city of Melville, Sask. on March 20, 1962, where she would spend the next 31 years of her life. She attended school there where she acquired numerous friends that she still had until her final days. She spent 10 years working at the Classic Inn as a cook, something Cynde loved, feeding people at many weddings, luncheons and theme nights.
In 1998 she married her loving husband – they shared 31 years of marriage together.
In 1993, Cynde was hired by the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority in Melville and eventually was the reason her family moved to Regina in 2003 when she took the opportunity to work with SLGA there. She worked with SLGA until her diagnosis, with her final position as a manager of the Broadway location.
Cynde was well known for her gift of remembering everyone’s birthdays, anniversaries, or any other memorable date. She also loved her gardening, a bug she got from her father, Ted, and no matter where her family lived there was amazing flower beds and vegetable growing. If you missed seeing them, she always made up lovely collages of pictures of them for everyone to see year round.
She was also involved in her children’s activities by coaching her daughter’s ball for over eight years, and by being a constant spectator at all Jenn and Nathan’s ball games and swimming lessons.
Cynde was always involved in the community or her family. She was a master of ceremonies five times, co-ordinated the Youth Ministry at St Henry’s, and was on the board for the swimming pool in Melville.
The family wishes to thank the amazing care that was provided by the palliative care team and a huge thank you to the William Booth Grace Hospice team that cared for mom during her final days. We will be forever grateful.
The mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 14 at 11 a.m. from St. Henry’s Roman Catholic Church in Melville. Interment will follow in St. Henry’s Parish Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the SADD program in Melville as gifts of remembrance. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.baileysfuneralhome.com
