Ida was born on Feb. 5, 1938 in Kennedy, Sask. to parents, Margaret and Percy Dovell.
She is the second youngest of seven children. Ida was raised, and attended school in Whitewood, Sask. There she and Bill met, and they were married in 1958.
Bill and Ida raised their family of three boys in Alberta, living in Hinton for 34 years. Together they built a successful heavy equipment construction company, where Ida was the bookkeeper. In 1997, Ida and Bill retired to Stony Plain. Ida was active in the local golf and curling scenes. Ida loved golfing, but mostly she enjoyed the friends she made
and the adventures she had while so doing.
