Stuart Charles Lautamus, born March 2, 1952 to Alex and Arlene Lautamus of New Finland, Sask., passed away following a battle with cancer on Friday, Oct. 12, 2018 at Black Diamond, Alta. He was 66.
He leaves to mourn: his wife of many years, Marilyn; and her children, Frank, Michael, Cody and Serena Bahr and their respective families.
Also mourning his death are his children: Lana (husband Ian, and granddaughter Zoë), and Kerri (partner Aaron), Donna Lucas; and Stuart’s siblings: Donald (Judy), Allan (Violet), Adele (Brad), Gordon, Karen (Dennis) and Kathy (Allan); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Stuart is predeceased by his father, Alex Lautamus; mother, Arlene Lautamus-Strandlund (nee Hilberg); his eldest sister, Verna Filpula, and brother-in-law, Lorne Filpula; and sister-in-law, Dora.
A memorial service was held in Chauvin, Alta. on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018. A private family gathering may be held at a later date.
