Dianna was born in Prelate, SK the second youngest of five children. At the age of 16, Dianna went to work in Eston, SK and later moved to Whitewood, SK where she met her love, James Gail Tannas and married in 1963.
James and Dianna remained in Whitewood and raised their three children. They both carried out many jobs in Whitewood, Dianna was an exceptional gardener and loved the community she lived in.
Dianna and James went to follow their dreams and lived and worked in Carlyle and then moved to manage and own a motel in Black Diamond, AB. From there they moved to Red Deer where Dianna went to college for business and worked and managed an apartment building while her husband worked in the floor laying business. Dianna and James moved to Cranbrook, B.C. where they worked together doing their floor laying business, and then Medicine Hat and finally back to Whitewood, SK in 2013 where she and James were going to retire together.
Dianna’s love for the community had her volunteering for the senior centre as well as the church. She had many friends and always welcomed the young people with whom she would enjoy having a beer and listening to their stories. Dianna loved music and every chance she had she would go to concerts with her children. She loved to travel and ended up purchasing a place in Yuma, Ariz. where she loved to be in winter, along with music, reading books, religion and card playing she found the love of line dancing while in Yuma, Ariz. She loved her animals and especially her dogs; she would take her time and walk and explore with them.
Dianna was a very hard worker and excelled at everything she put her mind to. No job was too much for her and you would catch her outside digging up rocks for landscaping or with a saw or drill in her hand redoing numerous homes.
She worked hard right up to her last days, she will always be remembered and truly missed by her children, grandchildren and her friends and family.
