Two men were taken to hospital after a semi unit rolled onto its side on Highway 1 west of Wapella on June 12. The passenger was trapped underneath the semi and had to be freed using the Jaws of Life. Both eastbound lanes of the Trans-Canada were closed and rerouted for most of the day while the scene was investigated and cleaned up.
