Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory.
The celebration of his life was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Grenfell Trinity Presbyterian Church located at 811 Alice Street.
Doug cared for his wife of 33 years, Marilyn “Lynn” (nee Fowler-Tholl), and his three children, William Tholl (Paula), Brenda Tollefson (Dale), Cheryl Mantei (Glenn).
Grandpa Doug stitched together memories on the family farm with each of his eight grandchildren: Erica Marleau (Neil Hengeveld), Gavin (Kim) Tholl, Alexa Tholl;  Brett Tollefson, Blake Tollefson (Janna Holtz); Christopher (Ashley) Mc-Adam-Mantei; GeoLyn Mantei, KateLyn Mantei (Jesse Wetzloff).
He extended his quiet and patient manner to his eight great-grandchildren: Nicholas Marleau, Julia Marleau, Emily Marleau; Marcus Tholl; Chloe Tollefson; Gertrude Lewis, Daisy Lewis, Pheobe McAdam, Kendrix McAdam, HaiLyn McAdam; Porter Hansen, Pfeiffer Hansen.
Doug is survived by his sister, Kathy (Glen) Smith; sister-in-law, Mary Parsons; sister-in-law, Doreen Parsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents, John and Mary; brothers, Byron and Elgin; sister, Clare Derby; brother-in-law, Howard Derby; and his son, Curtis Tholl.
All in attendance were invited for a light lunch hosted by the Presbyterian Ladies Auxiliary.
