Date of Birth: June 9, 1960

Date of Death: November 27, 2016

Timothy Edward Lutz of Melville, Sask., passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016 from cancer at St. Peter’s Hospital, Melville, at the age of 56 years.
Tim was born June 9, 1960, the only child of the late Harold and the late Elizabeth (nee Bella) Lutz. He was raised on the family farm near Waldron and moved as a boy with his family to Melville, where he graduated from Melville Comprehensive School.
Tim had several occupations in his adult life, but he took most pride and pleasure working as a farm hand and at his last position at Yorkton New Holland. He was looking forward to launching his own home-based business, Tim’s Small Engine Repair Plus.
Tim was most happy when he was hanging out with his friends — going for rides, attending car shows or just sitting back and telling long stories. He was a talented vehicle mechanic who enthusiastically took apart cars and trucks and implemented his own customized modifications.
Tim also loved doting on his house cats. He found value in the simple things in life and was a kind and gentle man who always strived to do what was right.
A private graveside service for Tim was held Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at Melville Municipal Cemetery with Rev. Kim Sherwin of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Melville officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home, Melville.
