Susan Hoehn passed away at the Whitewood Community Health Centre on January 23, 2013 at the age of 88 years. She leaves behind a legacy of love and Christian heritage to her loving husband Bill, son Dennis (Lindee-Lee) Hoehne, Dylan, Shelby-Lynne, Karlee, Chance and Jillian, daughter Violet (Roger), Stephanie and Kendra; brother Bill (Ruby) Klassen and sister Anna Mireau.
Susan was predeceased by her parents Peter and Sarah Klassen, brothers Issac Klassen, Ben Klassen; sisters Sarah (David) Kessler, Agnes (Phillip) Price, Eva (Pete) Neudorf, Helen (John) Neudorf, Betty (Henry) Teichroeb, and brother in law Dave Mireau.
Susan was born on the family farm in the Warman district on January 19, 1925. After attending school in Warman, Susan moved to Ontario where she worked for a number of years and then moved to British Columbia where she worked in a broom factory. Later she moved to Saskatoon and worked at the University Hospital. While in Saskatoon Susan met Bill Hoehn and they were married on November 5, 1960 and lived on the family farm near Whitewood, SK. Susan and Bill had two children, Dennis and Violet. In 1994 Susan and Bill retired to the town of Whitewood.
Her dedication to her family and her church were evident in her life and the many hours Susan spent on her knees in prayer. The funeral service was held January 26, 2013 at the Whitewood Evangelical Missionary Church with the Rev. Phillip Price officiating. The organist Alana Price led in the hymns and Renee Oshowy sang a solo. Words of remembrance were shared by Linda Beutler, daughter Violet Dilsner and granddaughter Kendra. Interment followed in the Whitewood Cemetery with Sam Beutler, Dan Oshowy, David Hepburn, Ed Dilsner, Dylan Wiebe and Kevin Hepburn serving as pallbearers.
