It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gilbert “Gib” Alvin Hack, who passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on Monday, May 25, 2026, in the Collier Center Hospice, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Gib was born on April 17, 1936 in Grenfell, SK to Jacob and Mary Hack. Gib served his country and was honorably discharged from the Canadian Army on Sept. 9, 1954. He spent his early career working at various banks in Canada before moving to Denver, Colorado in 1964.
Gib embraced life with enthusiasm. He loved skiing, playing cribbage and shooting pool with friends. A devoted football fan, he held Denver Broncos season tickets for many years and loved cheering on his team.
He is survived by his partner Judy Mathias and his sister Cathy Wagner.
Gib was preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Mary; his brothers: Art, Vern and Jackie and his sisters Florence and Marian.
Gib will be laid to rest with a private graveside service in his hometown in the Grenfell Cemetery.
