Date of Birth: January 7, 1955
Date of Death: May 10, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Clifford Gordon Stewart, late of Fort Qu’Appelle, SK, on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the age of 71, at ANHH.
Cliff was born in Moose Jaw, SK, on Jan. 7, 1955, to Harry and Lydia Stewart (nee Koenig). He loved operating a grader and worked in Craik and Pense, SK. In 1985, he moved to Fort Qu’Appelle and joined the RM of North Qu’Appelle, where he worked until his retirement in 2012. He later worked briefly for Tulik Construction, but after a serious accident, he left the job and had a shop built where he could spend time tinkering, in his happy place.
Cliff was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Lydia Stewart (nee Koenig), and numerous uncles and aunts. He is survived by his brother, Bill (Janet) of Regina, SK; his sister, Shirley (Larry deceased) of Edmonton, AB; his daughter, Brooke; and his grandchildren, Jayden and Lane of Winnipeg, MB. He also leaves behind his favourite cousin, Doug of Edmonton, AB; along with many other cousins. Cliff will be deeply missed by his special friends and caregivers, Lenore and Kimberly Pletz of Fort Qu’Appelle; Lenore’s grandson, Jaden Pletz of Saskatoon, SK; and a very special young lady, Jannesse Spannier, whom Cliff loved dearly.
Heartfelt thanks to the nurses and doctors at ANHH for the excellent care they provided Cliff in his final days. The kindness shown to Lenore, Kim and Shirley will never be forgotten.
Donations in Cliff’s memory may be made to STARS, the Regina Humane Society, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
At Cliff’s request, there will be no funeral service.
A celebration of life will be held in July, with details to be announced. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.speersfuneralchapel.com
