Leonard Martin Pantel passed away peacefully in the All Nations’ Healing Hospital, Fort Qu’Appelle, SK on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026.
He was predeceased by his wife Phyllis Pantel; his parents Paul and Amelia Pantel; his sister Elaine Craig; as well many aunts, uncles and other relatives.
Leonard is survived by his children: Pauline Gabriel and and Leonard (Lenny) Pantel; brother Albert Pantel; grandchildren: Mackenzie, Victoria, Elizabeth and Richard Gabriel and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Leonard grew up in Regina and later lived in Fort Qu’Appelle where he met his wife Phyllis Pantel. They would eventually move out to the acreage where they raised their children and enjoyed time with their grandkids. Leonard was a self-employed plumber for 60 years and rented houses. Through the years Leonard helped with the church and volunteered many years with Camp Lutherland. He was also a volunteer firefighter for over 30 years.
After retirement Leonard filled his time by working at the camp and on his own projects as well as enjoying time spent with his kids and grandkids. He will missed and remembered by all.
A funeral service for both Leonard and Phyllis Pantel will be held in Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Fort Qu’Appelle, SK on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. The interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
