William (Bill) Krahenbil passed away on Feb. 21, 2023 in Lakeside Nursing Home, Wolseley, SK. Bill was born on July 20, 1924 in Lemberg, SK.
Bill was predeceased by his wife Noreen; an infant daughter; his parents, Karl and Wilhelmina Krahenbil; seven brothers: Emil, Adam, Otto, John, Paul, Frank and Leonard; and five sisters: Lydia Fayter, Louise Adams, Dora Oberg, Lizzie Hertzog and Freida Fry. He is survived by his loving family: Garry (Louise) Krahenbil, Debbie (Cliff) Allen, Darrel Krahenbil and Pat Gattinger, Brad (Shelly) Krahenbil and Brent Krahenbil; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; sister Kathleen Keller of Calgary, AB; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bill had farming in his blood. Until his last days he was always concerned about how the moisture situation was, how the crops were looking, how combining was progressing, etc. He never lost interest. Bill served as an RM Councillor for many years. In his younger days he spent many a frigid winter night curling at a rink. Throughout his life he always enjoyed music. It brought him much joy in the Home to lead the group sing songs and sing with his great-grandchildren.
