Leonard Clarence Lutz was born on Aug. 22, 1943 in Wolseley, Sask., the son of Albert and Lillian Lutz (Mebs). He was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2022.
Leonard was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, neighbor and friend. After high school he moved to the coast where he worked at various jobs in the winter months. He was a prison guard, worked on a cranberry farm and various saw mills. In the summer months he always returned home to farm with his dad. Leonard’s faith was always a major part of his life, along with family and friends and later his grandchildren.
Leonard is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Beverly Joan Lutz (Sanders); his sister, Lynne Lutz; children: Kim (Glen) Wirl and Kevin (Colleen) Lutz; and three grandchildren, Jeffrey and Josie Wirl and Brett Lutz.
Leonard was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Lillian; and multiple aunts, uncles and cousins.
The funeral service was held in Trinity Lutheran Church, Lemberg on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Victoria Mwamasika officiating. Interment followed in Lemberg Cemetery.
