Edith was born in the Success School district north of Melville on Jan. 26, 1930. She received her education at Success School.
Edith is remembered for her years working at Hegan’s Drug Store in Melville and as secretary at Grant Schmidt’s MLA Office; she had lots of good memories of working and fondly remembered the people with whom she worked. Her hobbies included art (she painted many beautiful pictures and enjoyed wood carving), politics and travel.
Edith’s greatest joy was family, and she spent many hours with the young ones; she always said that being around young people kept her young at heart. She will be very missed by family and friends.
Due to Covid-19 concerns, the family will gather to celebrate her life at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home, Melville.
