Weyburn RCMP are currently on scene at a gas station in Stoughton, SK, to investigate the report of a pedestrian versus semi-truck collision that occurred at approximately 7:00 a.m. this morning.  

Preliminary reports state that one adult female is deceased as a result of the collision.  

The semi-truck involved is reported to have been stopped.

Saskatchewan RCMP Traffic Reconstruction Unit and Saskatchewan Coroners Service are processing the collision scene.

The investigation is ongoing.

La Ronge RCMP are also investigating a fatal pedestrian accident from over the weekend.

On Sept. 28 just after midnight, the La Ronge RCMP were called to a fatal collision between a Pedestrian and a taxi cab on Highway 2 near the bingo hall in La Ronge

Upon arrival an adult male was located by RCMP officers and EMS in the southbound lane of Highway 2 with life-threatening injuries.   EMS transported the 24-year-old male to hospital where he was declared deceased.

A taxi had been driving southbound and struck the male who was walking on the Highway.  The road was restricted for several hours while members conducted the investigation with the assistance of the Saskatchewan Coroners Service and a RCMP Forensic Reconstructionist.

The investigation is still ongoing.
