John Bauer, born Oct. 6, 1932 in Wilkie, Sask., passed away on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018 at the age of 85.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joan (neé Marchand); daughters, Sandra Bauer (Paul Garrett) and Rhonda (Dirk) Jongkind; sons, Gregory (Lynda) and Stephen (Raelyn); nine grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah, Scott, Elise, Nicholas, Shawn, Nicole, Jenna and Tyrel; great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Livia; sisters, Doreen, Yvonne and June (Mel); brothers, Ray (Laurraine), Frank (Donna), Jim (Bev) and Wayne (Linda).
He is predeceased by his parents, John and Gisela Bauer; baby daughter, Janice; and sisters, Mary, Loretta, Eva, Rose, Isabelle and Helen.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Rd, Kelowna, B.C.
Interment to follow on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Westbank Cemetery, 3717 Elliott Rd., West Kelowna, B.C.
