Lorraine was born on Oct. 23, 1940 and raised in Melville, Sask., having left to pursue a work opportunity for five years with the Regina Leader-Post editorial department.
On April 29, 1961, Lorraine Stein married Wayne Knipple and together they raised their wonderful family. In 1992 Lorraine returned to work at her family business (Falcon Group) and enjoyed working alongside her family for the next 25 years.
Lorraine was a kind and soft-hearted soul, yet a pillar of strength and conviction. She was always there if you needed her, she loved her family deeply, every get-together shared was an event to her. It didn’t matter what we were doing, because we were doing it together, making our memory bank full to the brim. We are grateful to have been blessed with each others’ presence for many years.
She was a strong believer with great faith; the Lord was always in her heart, home and conversation… as her family learned much from her example.
Lorraine was a devoted care giver to her mother, Jean; and her husband, Wayne. Lorraine’s generosity also extended beyond her family to assist others such as, Community Living, Souls Harbour and World Vision.
Lorraine took pleasure in bowling, reading, nutrition and exercise. Her greatest joy was her family.
Special thanks to the Regina Ambulance Service, Regina General Hospital Emergency Surgical ICU and Medical ICU nurses and caregivers, Dr. Joseph Buwembo, Saskatoon Royal University Hospital ICU nurses and caregivers, Dr. Mike Kelly, Stars Air Ambulance of Saskatoon and Saskatchewan Air Ambulance Services, as we are forever grateful and blessed by your dedication, service and compassion.
The family would also like to thank Pastor Lynn Robertson for her beautiful words of comfort and assurance, as well as those from Melville, who were part of Lorraine’s life, and also to her wonderful family.
