Widow of the late Frank Molnar, entered her eternal rest with family at her side on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017 at the age of 95 years.
Agnes was born on Oct. 23, 1921 in the Oak Hill district to Frank and Martha (Nagy) Holhoyi. She was very athletic and won money at many races. She climbed trees to retrieve eggs from the crows’ nests. She and Rose were often found watching the clouds form and “sunning themselves” on the tops of the chicken barn or granaries.
She was united in marriage to Frank Molnar on Oct. 9, 1944. They farmed near Melville from 1945 to 1955 when they sold the farm and moved into Melville.
Agnes was known for her cabbage rolls and apple pies. She was a founding member of the CWL and remained with them for 55 years. She also belonged to St. Therese Society of the Little Flower.
She loved spending time with her family and always had treats for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her husband, Frank; great-grandson, Dayton; her parents; sisters, Elizabeth, Margaret, Rose and Julia; brothers, Donavan, Raymond and Daniel; brothers- in-law, Ted, Harold, Charlie, Edward and Emil; as well as extended brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Agnes leaves to cherish her memory, her family: Susan (Brent) and their children, Carissa (Shayna, Mikayla, Raelyn); Ashley (Dustin) Kaydence, Dia; Bernard (Kathy) and their children, Madison (Andrea), Cassadee; Tyler (Meaghan); Robyn (Ryan), Grayson, Sallisa, Haven, Seryna; Eugene (Edna) and their children, Darren (Miranda), Leo, Francis, Tony; Kim, Josh, Tyler; Scott (Jess), Gabe; Nicole (Yves); Danny (Lisa), Franki; sisters, Marion Holhoyi, Francis Novak, Irene Holhoyi, Martha Molnar; sisters-in-law, Violet Holhoyi, Janet Molnar, Anne Molnar and Olga Molnar; brother-in-law, Mike (Joyce) Molnar; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017 from St. Henry’s Roman Catholic Church in Melville with Rev. Fr. Andrew Sowa O.M.I. as the Celebrant.
Arrangements were by Bailey’s Funeral and Cremation Care, Melville.
