Darcy Turnbull thought he won $400 on his April 14 LOTTO MAX ticket. He was stunned 1,000 times over when he discovered the ticket he shares with his wife, Gladys, had actually won $424,219.50.

“All I could see at first was a four and a two, so I assumed I won $420,” said Darcy. “I saw the rest of the numbers when the retailer scanned my ticket. I was shocked!”

The happy winners said they knew what to do with part of their winnings right away.

“All I could think of was the estimate we’re having to replace our shingles,” said Darcy. “Now we don’t have to worry about where the money is going to come from.”

The Turnbulls purchased their winning LOTTO MAX ticket at Highway 8 Gas Bar & Confectionary, located at 718 Railway Avenue in Rocanville.
