Bryan Kenneth Loveridge passed away tragically on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017 at the age of 45 years.
Bryan was born in Melville, Sask. on Sept 30, 1971 to Mervyn and Laura (nee Ward) Loveridge. Bryan was raised on the family farm near Duff and received all of his early education in Neudorf, Sask., and later completed his high school in Melville, Sask.
Bryan was a very loving and caring man who shared his warmth with everyone around him. He was blessed with four wonderful children who played a big role in his life. Bryan worked very hard to make sure that his children lived a quality life. Bryan’s occupation was also his passion; he enjoyed his job as a truck driver.
As a young adult, Bryan had many hobbies and some of these included hockey, playing in a local polka band as a drummer and taking part in the 4-H Club. His greatest pleasure was making people around him laugh and smile. Bryan had a very infectious personality that resonated deeply, which will be missed.
Bryan was predeceased by his father, Mervyn Loveridge; his mother, Laura Loveridge Choptuik; his step-father, John Choptuik; his grandparents; and a special uncle, Ken Loveridge.
He is survived by his children, Brytan and Tracer Loveridge, Orrin (Danielle) Wurts, Danyka (Chris) Jackson and Travis Paul; four grandchildren, Nirro and Aiden Wurts, Parker Jackson and Brooklyn Paul; four
brothers, Fred Loveridge (Diane), Bill (Sherry) Loveridge and Don (Brenda) Loveridge; one sister, Denise (Garnet) Hahn; a sister-in-law, Linda (Ray) Krupski; godparents, Nelson and Connie Ward; many nieces and nephews and families; and many aunts and uncles, cousins, extended family and friends who Bryan has touched along the way.
Bryan’s funeral service was held Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 at Matthews Funeral Home, Melville with the Rev. Kim Sherwin of All Saints’ Anglican Church officiating. The lessons were read by Linda Krupski and Connie Ward, and family memories were shared by Fred Loveridge and the kids, Brytan, Tracer, Orrin and Danyka. The organist, Gaylene Matthews, led in the hymns, “Lord Take My Hand and Lead Me” and “In the Garden.” As a special tribute to Bryan, three recorded songs were played, “Country Roads”, “Mamas, Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys” and “My Old Man.”
Honorary pallbearers were Jason Loveridge, Brandon Loveridge, Jarret Loveridge, Brady Hahn, Jeremy Loveridge, Tyler Hahn, Kelly Gulash, Bruce Thompson, Lance Schuman, Steven Shaw, Michael Loveridge and Jason Kunzelman.
Interment will take place in the Duff Cemetery at a later date.
