Agnes passed away peacefully with her family beside her on Friday, Sept., 23, 2016 at Cawthra Gardens Long Term Care Facility in her 92nd year.
Beloved wife of 60 years of the late Gordon K. Piller.
Deeply cherished and loved by her children: Gene Dixon, Shannon Woolfrey (John), Wendy McCloy and Kim Piller (Irene). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Robert Dixon (Jaclyn), Shawn Dixon (Julie), Tara MacDonald-Lahey (Jonathan), Sean Saigeon (Heather), Tracey McCloy Carcueva (Jackson), Thomas Piller (Stephanie). Also greatly missed by step-grandchildren, Michelle Strong (Blake), Meaghan Armstrong, Rebecca Armstrong, Robert Woolfrey (Tanya) and David Woolfrey. Agnes will be greatly missed by 10 great-grandchildren. Loving sister of Loretta Ganong (predeceased Earl), predeceased by brother, Robert Thompson and sister-in-law, Velda, William Thompson, and sister-in-law, Helen Thompson. Loving sister-in-law, Loraine Bruch (predeceased Alan). She will be dearly missed by all of her nieces and nephews in the Ganong (predeceased by Katie McDonald) and Thompson families and the Piller (Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Alberta) and the Wilms (Saskatchewan) families.
The Piller family wishes to thank Mom’s personal care-giver, Nestle Atienza, for her undivided care and love to Mom for the past three years. We would also like to thank the full staff at Cawthra Gardens for their care and attention to Mom as this was her “home”.
Visitation was held at the Turner and Porter “Peel” Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga (Hwy 10, North of QEW) on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m..
The service was held on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the “Peel” Chapel. Donations may be sent to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the charity of your choice.
