On May 24, 2016 shortly after 2:00 p.m. Canora RCMP received a complaint of two deceased individuals located inside a residence on the 100 block of White Sand Drive in Canora, SK. The deceased were located by an individual doing a well-fare check after a period of time without contact.

A 51-year-old female and a 58-year-old male were located deceased inside the residence. The deceased are known to each other.

An autopsy will take place in Saskatoon on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. Until autopsies are conducted and further investigation takes place, RCMP stated they are unable to provide additional details.

There is no risk to public safety and police are not seeking any suspects. RCMP Major Crime Unit South continues to investigate with the assistance of RCMP Forensic Identification Section, Canora RCMP and the Office of the Chief Coroner.
