Wadena RCMP attended a fatal MVC on May 23 involving a pickup truck and an ATV on the Fishing Lake First Nation. An adult female who was a passenger on the ATV was pronounced dead at the scene. A 7-year-old child who was also on the ATV was transported by STARS ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries. No further details will be released on the identity of the deceased or the child. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
At this time alcohol is not believed to be a factor. Wadena RCMP continue to investigate, with the assistance of the RCMP Collision Reconstructionist.
