HOLHOYI – Daniel Holhoyi of Melville, Sask. entered his eternal rest on Monday, April 4, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Home at the age of 82 years.
Daniel was born on July 21, 1933 at Melville, Sask., a son to Frank and Martha (nee Nagy) Holhoyi.
Daniel, known to all as Danny, received his education at Oak Hill School in the country, as well helped his parents on the family farm. Later Danny’s parents moved into Melville and he remained on the farm. He later moved into Melville, but continued to farm with his brother, Raymond, until retired.
Danny was an antique collector and you would find him going to yard sales, garage sales and any auction sale buying all sorts of things, especially antiques, where he made many wonderful friends. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing and travelling to the United States and Hawaii. He was a dedicated member of St. Henry’s Church and would find him in most cases, in the same pew. Danny’s faith took him to pilgrimages at Kaposvar and Lebret as well a retreat in Saskatoon.
