Ethan Bear of Ochapowace First Nation was recently honoured by the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League as the team’s top defenceman. Bear, who scored 19 times and added 46 assists for a total of 65 points in 68 games, was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in 2015.
