Henry Rudolf Frick

Henry Rudolf Frick was born on the family farm between Fenwood and Duff, the10th child of John and Maria (Schmidt) Frick. He received his education at Yola School. Henry met his wife Sophie, a teacher at that school, years later. They were married in 1952 and made their home on the family farm until their retirement to Melville in 2010.
Henry leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Sophie (nee Sedlovitch) and his children, Janlyn (George) Rozdilsky, Rietta (Ed) Davis and Arlan (Cherie) Frick. He is remembered as “Grandpa” by Shayne and Chasen Rozdilsky, Kailyn (fiance Daulton Krchov) and Logan Davis, and Luke, Travis and Ryan Frick. Henry is remembered by his brother, Edward; sisters, Elsie (Carl) Hollinger and Edna (Alex) Figgitt; as well as his in-laws, Bernice Frick, Vern Schick, Lavona Sedlovitch, Eleanore Sedlovitch; and many nieces and nephews.
Henry was predeceased by his parents; his siblings, Lizzie (Willie) Wigmore, Helen (Ted) Schick, Millie (Charlie) Schick, Rose (Leonard) Neuls, Willie Frick, Emma (Ben) Gabel, Evelyn Schick; his sister-in-law, Florence Frick; and several other brothers and sisters who died in infancy. Also predeceasing Henry were: his parents-in-law, John and Rose (Sawchyn) Sedlovitch; his in-laws, Ann (John) Tymko, Nick (Nettie) Sedlovitch, Lena Sedlovitch, Mike Sedlovitch, Joe Sedlovitch, John Sedlovitch and Frances (Bobby) Dohms; and several nieces and nephews.
Henry loved and dedicated his life to his family and his farm. He will be remembered and dearly missed.
Services for Henry were held on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 with the Rev. Brian Mee officiating.
Interment followed at the Melville City Cemetery with Travis Frick, Ryan Frick, Ed Davis, Logan Davis, Luke Frick, Chasen Rozdilsky, George Rozdilsky, Shayne Rozdilsky, Kailyn Davis, Brent Ulmer and Brian Ulmer acting as bearers.
Arrangements were entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home Melville.
