A joint investigation that involved members from the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit, Carnduff RCMP and Estevan Police Service resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a residence located in Estevan, Saskatchewan on Wednesday October 21, 2015.

Arrested without incident was Russ Howard Goforth (DOB- January 5, 1984), after he attended to a location to meet a female girl under the age of 14, after meeting through the use of the Internet.

The name of the female victim will not be released to protect her identity.

At this time Goforth is charged with Child Luring. Additional charges may be following.

Numerous computer /storage devices were seized during the execution of the search warrant.
Goforth made his first court appearance this morning, Thursday October 22, 2015, at Estevan Provincial Court.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the R.C.M.P., Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
