On Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 8:13 p.m., Yorkton Municipal RCMP were called to a business on the 500 block of Broadway Street West in Yorkton after a bomb threat was made.

Members made immediate patrols and, in conjunction with security staff at the business, gathered evidence and conducted an investigation. As a result of the investigation, an adult male was arrested inside the business by members. It was determined that the male did not bring any explosives to the business.

Numerous patrons were inside the business at the time the complaint was received. No injuries were reported to police.

Alex Peepeetch, 41, of Yorkton, SK. has been charged with one count of uttering threats, section 264.1 of the Criminal Code

Peepeetch was remanded into custody and appeared in Yorkton Provincial Court on Tuesday, September 8, 2015.
