It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Glen Pletz, who left this world on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the age of 62 years. Born on April 26, 1964, Robert lived a life defined by generosity, compassion and a steadfast commitment to helping others.
A kind and giving soul, Rob touched countless lives in meaningful ways. Whether through his work or his everyday interactions, he consistently offered his time, his heart and his energy to make his community a better place. His quiet strength and genuine care for others left an imprint that will endure for years to come.
Robert dedicated his career to serving others as both a teacher and a volunteer, guiding, supporting and uplifting numerous people throughout his life. His impact was felt not only in classrooms and his neighborhood, but in places such as Camp Monahan which held a special place in his heart since he was a teen.
Rob’s passions included creating amazing dishes in his kitchen and working with his hands. Whether it was a woodworking project, mechanical repair or garden and greenhouse creation, he loved the challenge. A great lover of the outdoors, Rob spent much time fishing, hunting, canoeing and enjoying nature.
He is survived by his father Elmer Pletz; his siblings: Donna (Greg) Cook, David (Danelia Camacho) Pletz and Warren (Wendy) Pletz, who will forever carry his memory
with love and gratitude. His nieces and nephews will remember happy times at the lake when Rob would take them out in the boat, or on the quad or snow machine for a spin.
Robert’s legacy lives on in the many lives he enriched, the kindness he shared and the community he helped strengthen. While Rob expressly wished that there be no funeral, he requested that you remember him during the good times you had together.
