It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of George Werner, beloved husband of Wendy Werner, Broadview, SK on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026 at the age of 68 years.
George was predeceased by his parents Floyd and Theresa Werner; one brother Frederick Werner in 1958; his mother and father-in-law Sietse and Marion Rienks; his brother-in-law Terry Schaaf in 1977; his son-in-law Lyndon Lerat in 2013 and adopted father Urbin Louison.
Besides his loving wife Wendy, George is survived by one daughter Jenny (Trevor) Lerat-Andres and their family: Kolten, Davyn, Breanna Emmah-Lee and Jaxson; two sons Cory (Cailly) Werner and their daughter Evie and Justin (Sadie) Werner; brothers and sisters: Christine (Fred) Skinner, Dave (Janet) Werner, Dorothy (Keith) Hawken, Mike Werner, Stephen (Charlene) Werner and Pauline (Gord) Campbell; adopted mother Amanda Louison; brothers and sisters-in-law: Gordon Rienks, Kathy (Patrick) McGuffin, Clayton (Candace) Rienks, Terry (Amanda) Rienks and Jason (Jennifer) Rienks and also his nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held in the Broadview Community Hall on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. with James Graham officiating. The interment will follow the service in the Broadview Cemetery. A lunch and time for fellowship will follow the interment.
