On Sunday, March 23, 2025, Marion Elizabeth Yuhasz, beloved wife of the late Joseph Andrew Yuhasz, passed away in Deer View Lodge, Wawota, Sask. at the age of 87 years. Formerly a long-time resident of the Langbank community, then retiring to Kennedy where she enjoyed the company and friendship of this fantastic community.
Marion was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Rose Szucs; son Joe; siblings: eldest sister Rose (Louis) Firkaly, Michael (in infancy), Chris (Steve) Meszaros, Frank (Terry) Szucs, Andy (Brenda) Szucs, George Szucs and Billy Szucs (in infancy) and brother-in-law Gerald Stratton.
Left to mourn Marion’s passing are her late sons Joe’s child, Tyler (Danielle) and children Lennon and Jack; son Doug (Lila) and their family, Melissa (Ben) Hingston, children Grady and Everly; Katelin (Will) Rathje, children Beckett and Bostyn; son Anthony (Jodi), children Brody (Candace) and children Blake, Weston, Rowynn; Ryan (Maddy) and child Emerson; son Terry (Lorene) and their family, Vanessa (TJ) and Matthew; sister Helen Stratton; brother Louis Szucs (Christianne Stevens) and sister-in-law Margaret Szucs.
Marion was a hard working farm gal that loved community events, volunteering at local dances and curling and still had time for family and friends. She worked at the Langbank Co-op for several years. She loved and was very talented at quilt making. She and Dad loved their trip to Hungary and the Silver Broom in 1980 in Moncton, New Brunswick.
She loved the many road trips with George and Margaret Szucs, exploring all over the east and southern US in their motorhome. Her greatest joy and pride were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly missed.

A celebration of life will take place in the Kennedy Friendship Centre, Kennedy, Sask. on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with officiant Rev. Barbara Wilkins. The interment will take place at a later date in St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memoriam may be sent to Deer View Lodge, with cheques made out to ‘DVL Resident Comfort Fund’, P.O. Box 240, Wawota, SK S0G 5A0.
