On Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, Lynne Elder passed away at the age of 78 years at the Balcarres Integrated Care Centre. Lynne was predeceased by her parents, Willard and Muriel Elliott; sisters, Faith Sharpen and Iris Decker; brother Wayne Elliott; brothers-in-law, Ralph
Sharpen, Dale Decker, Gordon King, Peter Rohatyn and Dick Cleggett. Lynne is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Garry Elder; daughter Shelly; sisters, Lois King and Sandra Rohatyn; brother Gary (Chris) Elliott; sisters-in-law, Edith Elliott and Alice Cleggett; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Lynne moved to Balcarres in 1968 to start her nursing career. She met her husband Gary and they married in October of 1970. In 1977, their daughter Shelly was born and Lynne decided to nurse part time. By 1995, Lynne had fully retired from nursing. From then, her and Gary continued farming. Lynne was a loving, caring person and never complained. If everyone was happy, she was happy. A private family service will take place at a later date. Thank you to Dr. Cozman and all of the staff of the Balcarres Integrated Care Centre, where Lynne received excellent, loving care.
