Date of Birth: June 10, 1962

Date of Death: December 4, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and son, Brian Rodney Beutler of Grenfell, Sask. on Monday, Dec. 4, 2023 in the Indian Head Union Hospital.
Brian was born June 10, 1962 in Whitewood, Sask. to Leo and Shirley (Zorn) Beutler. He attended school in Whitewood and later Hillcrest College in Medicine Hat, Alta. Although he majored in psychology, his career took him in a few different directions. Working in Formost, Alta. on the highways, operating the Granite in Grenfell and eventually leading him to his current position as a Senior Safety Technician at Cigar Lake Mine Site.
Brian eventually ventured back to Grenfell where he found his soulmate, Belinda Chutskoff. They got married on March 6, 2021 and continued to reside there. Still working at the mine, he spent his days off perfecting pizza sauce at their arcade. His passion for cooking is owed to his mom as Brian spent a lot of time sitting on the kitchen counter as a kid. When you can’t find Brian in the kitchen, you could find him golfing, fishing, gardening or playing pool and cards. However, if it was Wednesday morning you’d find him pouring coffee for the ladies at the arcade.
Brian’s love of chatting, his smile and lighthearted conversation made him someone you wanted to get to know. Whether it was people, animals or children, everyone seemed to gravitate towards Brian.
He was predeceased by his brother, Gary Allen Beutler in 2010; his father, Leo Alexander Beutler in 2022; and Belinda’s son, Katlin Chutskoff in 2018.
Brian is survived by his loving wife Belinda; step-son Kearan; sons, Josh (Joylynn) Beutler, Matthew (Beth) Beutler and Andrew Beutler; his grandchildren, Asher, Elliott, Mateo, Florence, Chase and Peter; his mother Shirley; and his sister ,Bev (Rod) Miller.
Brian’s celebration of life was held in the Grenfell Community Hall, Grenfell on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023 at 11 a.m. with Pastor John Taylor officiating. A lunch will follow the service. A private interment will be held at a later date. Donations in Brian’s memory can be made to the Regina Humane Society, Box 3143 Highway 6 & Armour Road, Regina, SK S4P 3G7.
