Leonard Harold Watts, late of McLean, SK, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at the age of 78 years.
Leonard was predeceased by his parents, William James Watts and Cora Marjorie Watts; sister Marjorie Edith Watts; sister-in-law Verna Watts; brother in-law Jack Betteridge; and his partner, Teena Yasinski.
He is survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Gerri (Frank) Goris; sister Joyce (Jack) Betteridge; brother Howard (Verna) Watts; his children, Jason (Ellie-Jo) Watts and Jaime (Eric) Rein; grandchildren, Steven (Jenny) Watts, Avory Watts, Brydon (Hailey) Watts, Taijsha Watts (Jason) and Elayna Rein; great-grandchildren Preston, Jackson, Nixon, Dean and Athena Watts; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Leonard was a hardworking, straightforward man who loved the simplicities of his farm life. Being surrounded by nature, he enjoyed the company of the birds, deer, and wildlife that would cross the yard on their travels. He had love and compassion for animals in general.
Leonard had a deep fondness for music. He loved listening to some old-time country, enjoyed live bands and dancing with the ladies.
He also enjoyed his garden and berry bushes, making his own home-made jams, sauces, soups, breads, and wine to keep up his health, was an important part of farm life to him. Leonard will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
