Gail was born in Balcarres, SK and lived her whole life in the Qu’Appelle Valley. After completing Grade 12, she worked as the administrator at Bert Fox High School in Fort Qu’Appelle. She did this for many years until she decided to take up farming full time. Gail always had a great love for animals, the farm and the outdoors. She worked incredibly hard and loved her quiet home-life raising chickens, turkeys, cattle, goats, wild boar, miniature ponies and even reindeer. She was a wonderful cook and as a host she offered such a variety of dishes that you never left Gail’s house feeling hungry. At Christmas the family always joked at how many fabulous desserts Aunty Gail would have on the table this year. The coffee was always on at her house and she would always enjoy a game of cards. She also enjoyed camping and fishing at the Tobin Lake “cabin” spending time with her close knit family.
Memorial service was held at the Legion in Fort Qu’Appelle on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 1 p.m. Burial to be at a later date.
The family ask in lieu of flowers and those wishing to donate, to please consider supporting the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes research.
