PFEIFER – Judy E. (nee Nickell) of Lemberg, SK, passed away in the evening of Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, at St. Peter’s Hospital, Melville, SK, at the age of 73 years.
Judy was born June 22, 1944, in the Hill Farm district to Olga and Fred Nickell.
Judy was predeceased by her husband, Paul Pfeifer, and her siblings, Alvin Nickell of Lemberg and Paul Nickell of Calgary. Judy will be remembered by her children, Sandra Pfeifer of Regina, Holly (Larry) Lowe of Balcarres and Grant Pfeifer (Mardel Richards) of Regina, as well as her grandchildren Kailey Lowe, Dana Lowe and Jeffrey Lowe of Balcarres.
Judy’s funeral service was held Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lemberg, SK, officiated by the Rev. Victoria Mwamasika. The organist, Lorraine Geres, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns “Morning Has Broken,” “Lord, Take My Hand and Lead Me” and “What a Fellowship, What a Joy Divine”. Sandra Pfeifer presented the eulogy, and Eric Sommerfeld and Darryl Denning read scripture. Judy’s nieces and nephews and everyone who called her Aunt Judy were considered honorary pallbearers. Interment followed in the Lemberg Town Cemetery with Grant Pfeifer as the urn bearer.
Arrangements were entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home, Melville.
