The Stanley Mission RCMP Detachment responded to a complaint of a single snowmobile collision involving one male, at 12:05 pm April 23, 2016 in Stanley Mission, Saskatchewan.
EMS provided medical attention with assistance of the RCMP members. The victim was transported to the Stanley Mission Health Clinic. A 29-year-old male from Stanley Mission (the driver of the snowmobile) died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. The male’s name will not be released.
Initial investigation has revealed that the snowmobile collided with rocks along the shoreline of a bay in Stanley Mission. The victim was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. No charges will be laid at this time and Stanley Mission RCMP continue to investigate.
