On November 18, 2015 at approximately 1:15 pm, Tisdale RCMP along with Tisdale Ambulance and Tisdale Fire and Rescue responded to a single vehicle collision involving a school bus. The collision occurred approximately 12 miles North of Tisdale on Highway 35. The school bus had been travelling South on Highway 35 when it lost control on the ice and flipped on its side in the opposing ditch.

There were 4 children, age 6-10, on the bus at the time of the collision. The bus driver and children were all treated on scene and released.

Highway 35 was closed for approximately 30 minutes as the tow truck retrieved the bus from the ditch.

Motorists are encouraged to check the Highway Hotline and are reminded to use extreme caution when travelling the roads in and around Tisdale as extreme icy conditions do exist.
